MHP Turns Two!

It’s time to celebrate!

We hit a huge milestone in February – MHP officially turned two years old!

Gabz and Anna celebrated with some extra special content (and maybe some cake). As a charity, we’ve achieved so much over the past two years – here are just a few highlights:

  • Released three toolkits to support menstrual health education.
  • Launched a menstrual health education survey to gather crucial insights.
  • Delivered hundreds of talks in schools, workplaces, and communities.
  • Supported health boards and trusts in improving their information.
  • Participated in government focus groups to drive policy change.
  • Created impactful campaigns to raise awareness.
  • And so much more!

Here’s what Anna and Gabz had to say:

“We want to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing MHP team, our trustees, volunteers, and Medical Advisory Board members for making all of this possible.

We’d also like to say a massive thank you to our supporters – whether you have donated, shared our resources, recommended us to others, or simply cheered us on from the sidelines.

Every ounce of support means the world to us. You are the reason we are thriving as a charity – so THANK YOU!”

      We Won Another Award!

      CCC Awards

At the start of March, we had an absolute pinch-me moment — MHP was recognised as Highly Commended Charity of the Year at the Community, Corporate and Culture (CCC) Awards!

Anna and Gabz (with their very proud husbands in tow) attended the ceremony and were thrilled to be surrounded by so many inspiring organisations making a real impact.

“We’re so honoured to receive this recognition. It means the world to us!” – Anna and Gabz, Co-Founders of Menstrual Health Project

We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our work. We truly couldn’t have done this without you!

      Sellebrity Soccer Fundraising Event

On Sunday, 9th April, Gabz joined the fun at Fleet Town Football Club to represent MHP and cheer on the charity football fundraiser organised by Beauty Among Pain and Sellebrity Soccer.

It was such an amazing day, and we are incredibly grateful to all the players who generously gave their time to help raise essential funds for MHP and show their support. Their efforts mean so much to us!

      Sellebrity Soccer Trophy

We’re thrilled to share that we raised an incredible £3,000 from the event! A massive thank you to Sellebrity Soccer, Beauty Among Pain, Fleet Town FC, all the players, and our shirt sponsors, Elite Sports Marketing.

We’re honoured to be the first menstrual health or women’s health charity supported by Sellebrity Soccer!

      Webinar

On 12th March, our co-founder Gabz joined trustee and Medical Advisory Board member, Mr Amer Raza, and Dr Juwairia Hashmi for From Pain to Power: Advocating for Your Endometriosis Care, a webinar hosted by Cromwell Hospital in collaboration with MHP.

Together, they explored endometriosis care from three key perspectives: lived experience, primary care, and specialist care.

      Glamour UK IWD Lunch

Glamour UK’s International Women’s Day Lunch

Gabz and Anna had the honour of attending Glamour UK’s International Women’s Day lunch at Soho House, hosted by Sam Barry and Adrienne Adhami, and sponsored by Reckitt.

The event tackled medical misogyny, reproductive health, and empowering girls in sport. Gabz and Anna shared their journeys and MHP’s mission to drive change in healthcare and menstrual health education.

A huge thank you to Glamour UK for creating space for these vital conversations!

      Let’s Talk Thoracic Endometriosis

      Thoracic Endometriosis

March was Endometriosis Awareness and Action Month, a crucial time to highlight the impact of endometriosis on people’s lives. At MHP, we believe in keeping these conversations alive all year round.

We teamed up with a group of organisations and advocates to shine a spotlight on thoracic endometriosis. Together, we’ve shared expert insights, real patient stories, and the latest scientific research.

Head over to our Instagram to check out the posts and give the incredible people involved a follow. They bring a wealth of knowledge and support to both MHP and our community.

Let’s keep raising awareness and supporting each other!

      MHP Youth Board

March marked the launch of the MHP Youth Board, a space for young people aged 13–22 to engage with our work, learn about charity governance, and drive change through advocacy. Members will take on projects like hosting events, representing MHP, and creating campaigns to support menstrual health awareness.

After an incredible response to our applications, we selected 20 passionate young people to join our first-ever cohort! Our first call is coming up soon, and we can’t wait to see what this inspiring group will accomplish. Stay tuned for more updates!
